The concept of the work starts from the idea of looking at a given context as a continuous series of spatial sequences that evoke the experiences of re-conquering the Cer mountain itself and the memory of the battle that took place on it.

Roles of public spaces, such as libraries or squares, are experiencing a specific transformation in the 21st century. One of the features of modern day-to-day life is that almost any space can become a workplace. With a laptop and internet connection, the park bench becomes a virtual office.

The spatial context of the task opens a series of architectural questions, which are primarily related to rethinking architecture as infrastructure that would form positions and volumetry with the idea that contributes to the landscape, not to it violates. The research field of consists of an attempt to create separate semi-public space, using the interlaced, connectivity, thickeners, "Dosing" and interpolation architectural program private and public character with which help redefine the boundaries, shape and rhythm sets of family housing. The first step in reducing ambiguity is to position this notion in the semiosphere of the Balkan region after the turn of the century. This specification aspires to delineate two types of spaces, the Yugoslavian utopia of the XX century and the Balkan heterotopia of the 2000s. It is necessary, for this thesis, to differentiate two types of architectures that fall into Foucault’s gaps of “existing” and “other”.

The “On / Off stage” project represents an experimental platform and a different attitude towards the concept of performing and learning within the space which is related to the stage creativity. By placing the public space and the space of the scene, considering it as a common entity, is more responsive to the performing arts because of its public nature and the need for a certain type of exposure.

The trajectory represents the moment of space-time distortion. Gradual acceleration enhances defamiliarization until the moment of complete dislocation and then final reaffirmation. Finally, we ask ourselves, "Are we really back from where we started?"

The project represents a contepmorary rendition of a concept of the ancient stoa in Greek culture. A large public space which consists of a fish market, culinary incubators, a restaurant and a square create a hub for trade, interactions, events.
